On a budget of $40,000, Benjamin Garcia Sachs used two 40-foot shipping containers to create this comfortable 1,000-square-foot space. Home located in SAN Jose, Costa Rica, proves that you don’t need deep pockets for a container house project.
2, Colorado container studio Gu Yan home
The design team at studio H:T thought there was a bit of an outer box for this one. Instead of building an entire home from a container, they chose to add 2 storage containers to the outside of a pre-existing structure. The home sits on a ledge in Holland, Colorado, and includes rooftop installation of solar panels, passive cooling, and more.
Located in Flagstaff, Arizona, this group of 6 containers has traveled far and wide to create a stunning home. Home features concrete floors, large glass Windows, roof terrace, industrial finish, red brick coloured stairs really bind the space together nicely. This project took 2 years to complete in collaboration with student designers.
4, the house container living
Another example of multiple containers, the refined Container Living project was designed by French architect Patrick Partouche. There are 8 different containers, creating 2,238 square feet of living space. This home was built in just three days, although they did have the help of some very large cranes.
5, colorful Sao Paulo container house
Instead of building the actual home from the container, renowned Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan opted for a massively integrated, vibrant mix of containers stacked throughout the living space.

7, the Mojave desert container home
Designed and built by Ectotech, it is the first ever container home to be constructed in the Mojave Desert. The 2,300-square-foot home (called Tim Palen Studio in Shadow Hill) is located in the Joshua Tree neighborhood and consists of six shipping containers together with prefabricated steel components.
8, San Francisco Container office room
Good technology, this is not a container, but the container used in this project cannot be ignored. Seeing that they had a large open space loft in San Francisco, Jeff Wardell and Claudia Sagan placed 2 containers right away in the living room. One container serves as a house for guests, while the other serves as a fully functional home office.
Located in El Tiemblo(Avila Province), Spain, this project materialized back in 2010 and still looks great. There are 4 different 40 foot containers with 2000 square feet of living space. This project was designed by James & MAO Arquitectura although Infinski actually built it.
10, grassland forest container house
A young couple lives in this small home commissioned by Price Street Project in the forest city of Savannah Georgia. While it may not look much from the outside, the white walls, dark floors and skylights provide a nice touch throughout the modern home.
